So a little catch up is in order...
Mike made it through his surgery well. He spent the next week on crutches and returned to work on Monday, with a few rough worn out sore days. He is still achy and hurting, but is trying to exercise to get his knee in shape. He is suppose to see his doctor next Wednesday for a check up and determine whether a physical therapy program is required or if he is progressing adequately on his own.
He starts his EMT class March 23 and it will run Wednesday nights and Saturdays all day until June 29th. This will make a long set of months/weekends for both him, and myself left at home with the crazy boys.
Caleb came down sick last Wednesday, feverish. By Thursday, he was throwing up, Friday just a bit too. Consequently, he missed school Thursday and Friday. Josh also was warm on Friday morning, so he stayed home too.
Monday, we went to the zoo because the teachers were having an in-service day. We invited one of Jockey's school buddies. We had a good long, decent weathered day... and Caleb fell right asleep at 6 right when we got home.
Jockey had a playdate on Wednesday after school so that I could get to work and get to my doctor's appointment. And the boys had Awana on Wednesday night.
Baby is growing well. Heartbeat was a strong 160 at the appointment, measuring right on schedule. Kicking away, twirling inside enough to cause near seasickness, and he's starting to feeling heavy. The biggest item of information. We have set a final birthdate/surgery date: Friday, June 17th, 2011. That is the offical day, most likely in the morning. Mike will be there that day, but is expected to have to be at EMT class on the next day, Saturday. And I expect to be released to go home on Sunday morning. So it is finally determined. Josh is out of school by then. Caleb will probably have to miss that Friday, and Monday's school. It is what it is. And then we cruise into the summer.
The next school year is shaping up to look a little different than expected. Jockey will be attending 2 full kindergarten days a week and every other week 1/2 days on Mondays. Strange. But nothing I can change. We have to get all of his immunizations by then however, that is the next big step.
I have SEVERAL hours of work next week that I have to find a way to get it all accomplished, and MOPS with a craft to put on. Whew!
So that's the lastest.
