Caleb met "Papa Bill".

Caleb met "mommy's daddy" today. He did really well with a new person; this is only the third time that he has met someone new and in the same day hugged them and talked well with them. Although he can be more chatty than he exhibited, he talked more for a conversation with a new person. I think the biggest ice breakers were that they compared "owies" and Caleb learned that "Papa Bill like slurpee". He woke up from his nap today saying that so the information must have stuck. They played with the basketball a little bit before it got too cold to continue. Caleb told Papa Bill that the baby in the corner was "Jockey brother" and a few other little things. And Caleb gave Papa Bill a couple big hugs to say see you later/good bye.

Of course, this was Jockey's first time meeting Papa Bill too. He was pretty calm and content to just be held. After a surprising amount of still time he then wanted to be stood up and change position, but he held still for a nice amount of time for Papa Bill to hold him. Next time will be the time for Jockey to smile and be tickled and laugh.

I figured out why Caleb has backslid a bit on the potty training. His poor forgetful parents didn't remember or know that the little potty was "used" shall we say. And Caleb the little neat freak hasn't wanted to use a "used" potty, and he hasn't been able to tell us that the potty was "occupied". So now that I have that fixed, things are picking up again... of course the reward is still candy not the pride of an accomplishment... we'll get there. I'm ashamed that we didn't figure out the problem beforehand, and I'm astonished that it wasn't "sniffed out" at all... must be the odor free carbohydrates that Caleb eats because it sure isn't vegetables he's eating!

Ok, enough potty language. And that's it for now.
